If you received a parking violation and believe it was issued in error, we want to make it right. Find your situation below to know exactly what to submit to our support team via the AirGarage Help Center for the fastest resolution.
Scenario 1: I paid to park, but I entered the wrong license plate
This is the most common reason for an incorrect violation. If you typed your license plate incorrectly during checkout (a typo, a digit transposed, or you accidentally paid for a different vehicle), enforcement may have scanned your correct plate and found no matching active session.
What to submit:
- A screenshot or email receipt showing your AirGarage payment, including the date, time, and location
- Your correct license plate number and state
- The incorrect plate number that was entered (if you know it)
- Your violation number
Scenario 2: I paid through SpotHero, ParkWhiz, or another third-party app
If you booked through a third-party parking platform, your reservation is linked to a specific license plate in that platform's system. If the plate on your reservation didn't match what was on your vehicle, enforcement will not be able to verify your payment.
What to submit:
- Your SpotHero, ParkWhiz, or third-party confirmation (screenshot or email)
- The license plate on your reservation
- The license plate that was on your vehicle at the time
- Your violation number
Scenario 3: I tried to pay but Apple Pay / Google Pay or my payment didn't complete
If you attempted to pay and believed it went through, but your rental was not successfully started in our system, you may have received a violation despite genuinely trying to pay.
What to submit:
- Any screenshots showing your Apple Pay or payment confirmation, or your bank/wallet transaction history from that time
- Your license plate number and the time you parked
- A description of what happened during payment
- Your violation number
Scenario 4: The parking enforcement officer wrote down the wrong plate
Enforcement officers manually record license plates in some situations. Occasionally, a plate is recorded incorrectly, and a violation is issued to a vehicle that was registered and paid.
What to submit:
- A photo of your license plate (clearly showing the plate number)
- Your AirGarage payment receipt or session history showing your correct plate
- Your violation number
Scenario 5: I have a monthly parking account
If you're a monthly parker at this facility, your parking is covered under your monthly account. A violation may have been issued if the vehicle you drove that day is not registered to your monthly account.
What to submit:
- The email address or phone number registered to your monthly account
- The license plate you drove that day
- Your violation number
Note: Make sure the vehicle you drove is registered to your account. If it isn't, you will need to add it. See the article on updating your license plate for instructions.
